Cmon! Make a Video. Everybody’s Doing It.

I’ve already written a couple of posts talking about how hosts should be creating video content to augment their on-air efforts.

You are out of excuses. There is a video camera in everyone’s phone, you can download free easy-to-use editing software for nearly any device you own and YouTube is readily available for you to post the content to.

You don’t have to be the next Scorsese or have a huge budget to create video content that nicely augments your brand.

But fine, if you don’t believe me about the value of video maybe you’ll believe the findings of a new study by a company called Outbrain.

According to an eMarketer article, the company did a study of US-based brands and agencies and found that 87% use video as part of their marketing programs. The second most popular choice was blog posts which were used by 66% of the respondents. That’s a 20 point difference.

Nuff said.
