Ted Williams: Great Voice, Bad Marketer

I promise this is the last time I mention Ted Williams, the homeless man with the huge voice, but when I was writing Monday’s post something caught my eye.

Williams may have a great voice, but he’s a lousy marketer. Take a closer look at the sign he was holding. Someone might have discovered him a lot sooner if the sign had been more concise. This is way too much for the average person who’d distracted by their phone, the radio, traffic and their own life to stop and read.

There’s certainly a PPM parable here about word economy in breaks as well as a lesson in focus when it comes to Facebook and blog posts. Nuff said.
